New Cases Put 80% of Rural Counties in the Red Zone

Analyzes new COVID-19 infections between November 1-7, 2020, finds 80 percent of all nonmetropolitan counties are in the red-zone, or have an infection rate of 100 or more cases per 100,000 residents. Includes county-level data on areas with very high weekly infection rates, or 500 or more cases per 100,000 residents; these counties are primarily in the Upper Midwest and Great Plains.
